I’m a therapist, educator, and researcher committed to transforming how we understand and treat eating disorders, trauma, and grief. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is deeply political, relational, and embodied—and that it must be grounded in justice, cultural reclamation, and liberation.
I hold a Master’s in Nutrition from Boston University and a Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University, and I’m currently pursuing my PhD in Social Work at the University of Denver. My research focuses on eating disorders, decolonization, grief, and weight stigma—exploring how systemic oppression and cultural disconnection shape both individual experiences and broader treatment paradigms.
With years of experience in eating disorder treatment, I support individuals navigating the intersections of complex trauma, body image distress, and systemic oppression. I specialize in working with clients who are often pushed to the margins of dominant care models—particularly those who are BIPOC, fat, disabled, queer, or living with intergenerational trauma and disenfranchised grief. As someone who benefits from size privilege, I hold a deep responsibility to challenge anti-fatness both within and beyond the clinical room.
My approach blends somatic, relational, and narrative practices, grounded in a commitment to collective healing and cultural reclamation. I don’t believe in “fixing” people—I believe in witnessing, honoring, and reconnecting.
Outside of work, I find joy and grounding in the everyday. I live with two very spoiled cats, Jellybean and Miso, and I’m always down for a Marvel movie marathon, trying new foods, or singing along (very dramatically) to Taylor Swift. These rituals of care and delight keep me connected to the world I’m fighting for—one where all bodies, stories, and forms of grief are honored.
